Platinum Wedding
Tucked in the hills of Palm Desert is the world-renowned golf community of Bighorn. This was the site chosen by Leah and Toby for their WEtv Platinum Wedding. The reception was held in a 10,000 square foot tent on two tennis courts near BigHorn’s main club house. Leah gave the order to the design team that she wanted her guests to say, “Oh my God” as they entered the reception tent. The wedding planner Laurie Davies of Five Star Weddings & Events and Designer Keith J. Laverty led the design team. After erecting the tent, Classic Party Rentals went to work making a custom cloth swaging for the top of the tent. Fabric was then installed on all of the side walls and gave the tent a very soft look when the lighting was added by Shine Lighting. The design for the top of the tent was enhanced by using drum chandeliers made of fabric. Different lighting colors changed the mood throughout the evening. Keith created 4 different designs for the tulip centerpieces while Ice Chiavari Chairs with custom seat cushions complimented the custom made linens for the tables. The tables were set with 12” white Square Chargers, Olympus pearl handled flatware and Vienna glassware all enhanced by many tea lights. Cream bisque carpet and an oversized white dance floor were essential in converting the tent into a beautiful reception area. The Golf Club staff set and served guests from buffets during the evening. Since the weather was rather warm Classic also arranged for air conditioning to ensure guests would be comfortable throughout the evening. The design team along with the vendors transformed Leah's and Toby’s dream wedding into reality.
